Kala Ambrose RTP180 Speaking Event Oct2014 smRecently I had the pleasure to speak at RTP180 about Intuition, Energy and Ghosts.  RTP 180°: Showcasing the Sum of the Triangle with Innovation. Education. Industry.

These are powerful angles – and what the Research Triangle Park is known for.

Here’s the description of this event:

At “RTP 180°,” speakers from our three founding universities, local companies and the community at-large are called upon to take the stage to speak passionately about what matters to them.

On the third Thursday of every month, come join us and partake of free food, beer and smarts — the show starts at 6:00pm, but our doors open at 5:00 if you want to come test the (always local) taps.

The hashtag for this event is #RTP180 and we’ll do our best to livestream from our YouTube channel over at www.youtube.com/user/TheRTPNC. Afterwards, professionally edited video segments of our speakers will be posted, in case you missed the livestream!

RTP 180: Creepy Crawly

After this RTP 180, you might wish the things you hear go bump in the night were actually zombies. The real creepy crawlies that inhabit our lands are actually scarier than some fictional beings. From the bugs that live in our homes (you can drop that can of Raid, it doesn’t matter), to drug resistant super strains, there’s a lot to be fearful of out in the world…in addition to the supernatural.

As a super treat, we’ll have Raleigh’s newest brewery, Nicklepoint Brewing Company, serving up pints and food from Dame’s Chicken and Waffles!

Fun Stuff:

Costumes: Come dressed for the occasion and emcee Will Hardison will have something special in store!

Pumpkin Decorating Contest: We want to decorate the sidewalk with pumpkins! Show up with the best pumpkin and we’ll award the top three with prizes!
